I decided to write a poem about what I think poetry is:

The Didactic Definition

To measure poetry is to measure freedom.

To rate a poet's work is to rate their feelings.

A poem does not have boundaries – therefore it cannot be wrong,

No limits to set, no goal to reach,

It either has a moral or has nothing to teach.

Poetry is what you say and what you think.

It’s what you do and how you live.

Poetry is the link between you, your friends,

And even your enemies.

To write your voice, your opinions, your dreams…

Just to let them out or for others to see,

Is how you could, and I do, define real poetry.
