Abby Hayes

Today I read the book Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining by Anne Mazer. This is a part of the series, The Amazing Days of Abby Hayes. In this one, the main character, Abby Hayes, feels insignificant because every one in her family is great at something and she doesn't feel like she fits in. She decides that she has to prove that she is good at something so she is determined to become star of the soccer team. I liked this story because a lot of it is told through journal entries written by Abby and so we get to see a lot of her thoughts and feelings. This also makes the character easier for younger kids to relate to.
